Biogas delivery system and emergency flare for meat processor
The team at Energy360 designed and delivered both systems featuring the main sections:
- BDS (Biogas Delivery System) Skid
- Enclosed Flare Skid
- CAL (Covered Anaerobic Lagoon) Diaphragm Pressure Relief System
The BDS is used to condition and raise the pressure of the biogas generated in the CAL for use as a supplementary fuel for boilers located elsewhere on the site. The enclosed flare is used to combust excess biogas generated by the CAL and is intended to be used if the biogas produced by the CAL cannot be utilised in the boilers. The CAL Diaphragm Pressure Relief System is used to provide emergency venting of the biogas to a safe location from the CAL if required.

Biogas SEF50 Flare for NSW landfill site - 2022
SEF50 Flare NSW Landfill site – design build and installation.
The Energy360 SEF50 flare is designed to incinerate up to 500 Sm3/h of landfill gas (55% v/v Methane). Ignition is established using an interrupted LPG gas pilot. Biogas enters via stainless steel knock-out pot and is drawn into the biogas fan. The combustion chamber stack has an overall length of 6,000 mm fabricated from SS304.The overall height of the flare is 8,000 mm.
The stainless-steel stack is lined with 1400°C rated stack bonded fibre. The stack temperature is controlled using modulated air dampers. Flare base skid and side panels for the roof are galvanised steel and the biogas pipework is manufactured from 316L Schedule 10S stainless steel pipe welded to AS4041.
This Energy360 flare is designed to operate with landfill gas to a maximum of 60% methane and a minimum of 40% methane.
Biogas delivery system and SEF75 Flare for meat processor - 2022
Biogas delivery system and SEF75 Flare for meat processor, South Australia
The Energy360 designed system comprises of the following main sections:
- BDS (Biogas Delivery System) Skid
- Enclosed Flare Skid
- CAL (Covered Anaerobic Lagoon) Diaphragm Pressure Relief System
The BDS is used to condition and raise the pressure of the biogas generated in the CAL for use as a supplementary fuel for boilers located elsewhere on the site. Pumping trial flares - 2022
Pumping trial flares : These biogas flares are used on landfill sites where gas is of a quality unsuitable for power generation but is still a considerable environmental risk.
2x Pumping trial flares: Energy360 design and construction. These flares are designed to prove the LFG (Landfill gas) flow and flare the gas. The LFG enters through specialised nozzles and is ignited by a UV interrupted LPG pilot. The flare status, faults and operational conditions (Flow, Temperature, Methane level, Field Vacuum, Run time) are all read by the PLC for data display/logging with full remote access provided by 4g sim
Biogas OEF100 Flare - 2022
OEF 100 Flare : Biogas flare and gas handling equipment – Designed and constructed at Carrum Downs, Victoria 3201
Specifically designed for the client based on our standard ABM branded, SEF flare (Sectional Enclosed Flare) with the modification on stack and base size (OEF100 size) to enable the flare to operate at a Biogas flow rate of 722 Sm3/h with max height of 8.5m. The flare is started at 0% firing rate (low fire) and is ramped up to 100%. Control panel has a remote I/O unit for connection to the network, to allow communication between site SCADA and flare.

Biogas Upgrading: Energy360 can upgrade the biogas generated by using world leading biogas to biomethane upgrading technology.
The upgraded biomethane can then be injected to the grid, which enables customers to utilise the valuable, onsite biogas to generate an income stream and offset the profit impact of natural gas price increases without risk to the site’s processing operations.
Key benefits – Biogas to biomethane upgrading is a leading solution for carbon-free manufacturing. The technology is robust, proven and will be delivered by Energy360, Australia’s leading biogas handling company.
In Addition: Biogas can also be stored without conversion to another energy source and used as needed to generate power. The electricity produced can be grid connected or used behind the meter.
